Apache OFBiz store goods in Facility as Inventory Item. There are two ways to receive new Inventory Item:
- From PO(Purchase Order: To create new purchase order, view this post)
- Directly(one by one product)
Step 1: Go to Facility Manager(Demo link)
Choose the facility you desire(in which the inventory items will be stored) and click “Submit” button
and the select “RECEIVE INVENTORY” tab:

- You can receive from a PO which has ID by selecting in the first right icon
- From one by one product
Step 2: Receive from PO
In the first input on the above image, you can enter your PO Id or click on the right icon to find and pick one Purchase order.
The PO can be separated into many shipment. In the following image, The selected PO have one shipment, you can select one of them.(Notice: If you want to receive entire of PO, select the last option). Go to next screen by selecting “Receive Selected Shipment” button:
The following image list all the items(from entire PO or shipment), each item has four option:
- Inventory item type: Serialized or Non-Serialized
- Location: Your desired localtion to place the item into the facility
- Quantity Received: The number of items you received
- Lot Id: The lot id of your item
- Quantity Rejected and Reason: The number of items and reason which you don’t want to receive
- Per Unit Price: The cost of good sold which is used for Accounting purpose.
Complete this step by clicking “Receive Selected Product(s)”
Step 3: Receive directly product(one by one)
In the second image of Step 1, enter your product id or search by clicking on the right icon:
The following fields has the same meaning with above image. Input and complete this step by clicking on “Receive” button:
